Professor Guy Paré and two of his collaborators, i.e. Gerit Wagner (Professor, University of Bamberg, Germany) and Roman Lukyanenko (Associate Professor, McIntire School of Commerce, University of Virginia), have recently won the 2022 Best Paper Award. This prize was awarded by the Journal of Information Technology . This top-ranked journal is one of the eleven best scholarly journals in information systems (IS), according to the Association for Information Systems (AIS).
In addition to this distinction, the co-authored paper has also been submitted to members of the AIS Senior Scholars Consortium, who will select the five best IS papers published worldwide in 2022. These will be revealed next December during the annual AIS conference which will take place in Hyderabad, India.
The award-winning article titled “Artificial Intelligence and the Conduct of Literature Reviews” discusses how artificial intelligence (AI) can be a useful tool when conducting literature reviews. The authors present recent technological advances in this field, outline how AI can expedite various steps of the literature review process, and propose a comprehensive research agenda in relation to this topic. They encourage the future development of design science research and the emergence of a constructive discourse around the role of AI in the conduct of scientific research in general, and of literature reviews in particular.
